Profile: Zoe Murphy Compton

Zoe was born in Houston, Texas and much of her childhood spent in Mason, Texas. She comes from a seven generation Texas ranching background.
After 25 years in Aspen, Colorado, and serving for 9 years on the Aspen Historical Planning Commission, her family and grandchildren brought her back home to the Circle Bar Blue Ranch in Gonzales, Texas.
As an Interior Designer with a lifelong career of designing custom homes with a ranch flavor, she now has a hand forged lighting business and designs and manufacturers reproduction antique furniture.
Zoe is an Allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers and has received recognition of her work through numerous interviews, magazine articles, and design awards.

PHASE ONE

Design choice/style of plumbing
Decorative lighting locations
· Preliminary finish schedules
Preliminary furniture layout and space planning
Preparation of elevations:
– General block outs
– General finishes and lights noted in this phase
Preliminary appliance proposal
Preliminary Kitchen layout with material and finish suggestions

For discussion with client for approval of design development.

PHASE TWO

Interior doors:
Design and material selection to be coordinated with client, architect, builder.
Interior paint and/or plaster
Hardwood flooring specifications
Carpet specifications
Tile specifications
Cabinet detailing: General Kitchen
Appliance proposal for client approval
Exterior finish consultation with architects if required
